Colorful blend of nationalities

This wedding was the most fun to date, mostly because these two are dear to my heart but also because we were able to have so much fun playing with color.

In honor of the groom’s home country of Spain we incorporated all the bright colors. Personal items set on chairs to honor family that couldn’t make the trip brought that touch of home to their wedding ceremony. The guest list was small in number but grand in celebration. We danced the night away under the beautiful prairie summer sky and ate delicious food truck food cooked to the groom’s requirements. It was small, intimate, and celebratory.

All the angles of love

Meeting with clients and hearing the elements they want included in their decor is a favorite challenge of mine as a wedding designer and planner. Creating a design that incorporates individual tastes into the space they have booked can be a challenge, but what is life without some fun challenges? And Medalta in Medicine Hat serves as a wonderful backdrop for many tastes and design styles for this Medicine Hat Wedding Planner.

“I do’s” done formally in St. Pat’s Cathedral, an intimate dinner with close family and friends and an evening topped off with a dance party for reception guests. Custom greens and eddison bulb installation, geo escort tiles, beautiful florals and a free hanging seating chart made for a simple yet elegant wedding reception.

It was so fun to work with this easy going couple and I was honored to be a part of their big day!

Finding Inspiration When Uninspired

Finding Inspiration When Uninspired

I never dreamt I would be uninspired. Creative types are usually not lacking for inspiration but, where blogs are concerned I have been exactly that. So, how do you overcome this not just with blogs but especially when it comes to the daunting task of planning an event.

For me the starting point is usually one "thing". Maybe it’s a theme, something my clients or I love. An idea that really just becomes a spring board of bunny trails, paths that create a big picture. Sometimes those bunny trails paint a dream myself or my clients have not been able to articulate before.
