Fern and thistle nuptials

Heritage is a great place to start pulling ideas from to create a wedding that is unique and personal. That’s what Amy and Cory wanted as they planned and then had to postpone their wedding. We leaned into Amy’s family roots with ferns, thistles, kilts and bagpipes.

Details that are meaningful to each client help create a day that speaks to heritage and what is important to the couple. Details such as guest napkins tied with a Celtic knot, thistles tucked into arrangements, and the bridal entrance led and played by a bagpiper. Placing the arch at the entrance to their ceremony area created an outdoor “chapel” that invited guests in to find their seats.

Most meaningful was watching this couple embrace their two small boys as part of their commitment to one another (check out the sweet photo of their oldest at dad’s legs while vows are being made)
